The Chronicle

The Chronicle keeps the record of all the important events that are in any way related to the grammar school. It contains reports of all the activities that take place in the school such as staff meetings, seminars, lectures, extra-curricular activities of the students, and so on.

 Apart from the cultural activities of the school itself, the Chronicle records the details that concern the cultural life of the town, and includes events such as concerts, exhibitions, presentations of books, visits of important people, etc.

 It also contains names of all the students that won various prizes during their education in this school, as well as the names of those who helped the school with their donations.

The documentation regarding all the activities mentioned above is kept in the Chronicle.

  THE STRAZILOVO LITERARY SOCIETY

The literary society Strazilovo engages in discovering, developing and promoting literary talents of this school. Originally it was established in 1904, and a couple of years ago, a suggestion made by one of the ex-principals of the school, Mr. Vuko Pesikan for the contemporary literary society to be given the same name was accepted. The members of the society meet to decide upon the entries to be sent for various competitions. In the last couple of years the students from the school have won several prestigious prizes, such as the first place in the state organized competition in Valjevo – Radmila Ercegovac, the second place in another state organized in Kikinda – Natasa Milutinov, the first place in the poetry competition in Belgrade – Andrea Srdic, as well as prizes won at the well-known poetry festival, Lim Poetry Evenings etc. 

PUBLISHING

Publishing takes a prominent place in the life of Karlovci Grammar School . The following books have been published so far:

•  Jovanka Ivanisevic – PONORNICA (a collection of poems)

•  Radmila Ercegovac – KISOSPEVI   (a collection of poems)

•  Natasa Milutinov - PRELAMANJA (a collection of poems)

•  BESKRAJNA PREDSTAVA (an anthology of the awarded short stories)

•  ZBIRKA LIRIKE I KRATKE PRICE (poems by Maja Jovancevic and Jovana Suvakov and short stories by Zoran Svilar)

 The main purpose of the publishing activities is the promotion of the work by the talented students of our school.

THE FUND

In memory of their tragically deceased friend Ivan Radonjic, the class of 1991 took set up the Ivan Radonjic Fund . The activities of the Fund began in the same year when an open annual competition for the best short story was organized where only the graduating students were eligible. The board consisting of nine members chooses the best short story that is published in Branko . At the graduation ceremony, when the graduating students are given their diplomas and prizes, the author of the best short story is awarded a prize, too.
